Electrical Controls Engineer

Summary of Role:

This position is responsible for PLC/HMI programming and electrical control panel design for chemical feed and control systems used for water and wastewater treatment systems. Provide the customer with control panels that meet or exceed the UL508a guidelines as directed by the NEC.

Role Responsibilities:

  • PLC and HMI programming
  • Electrical Design of control panels using AUTOCAD Electrical;
  • Assist in testing and troubleshooting control panels and systems;
  • Review consulting engineers’ drawings and specifications;
  • Answer technical questions from consulting engineers, manufacturer’s reps (distributors) or end users regarding product applications, system design;
  • Provide pre-sale electrical drawings to consulting engineers and clients;
  • Assist with Quotes on custom control panels;
  • Develop complete and accurate electrical drawings using ACADE for panels;
  • Participate in Kickoff and Production Readiness meetings to ensure proper design and BOM’s for production of skids and panels;
  • Contribute to success of the engineering team;
  • Act as liaison to UL for the UL508a panel shop.

Essential Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronic Technologies;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Experience with the NEC, motor controls, fractional HP DC and AC drives, RLL, PLC’s, and process loop controllers;
  • Minimum of five years field experience;
  • PLC ladder logic program development and software knowledge (AB MicroLogix and CompactLogix is most common);
  • Must be able to travel/fly independently to client sites for field work as well as business meetings; possible participation in regional training programs;
  • Ability to work on your own or as a team;
  • Problem solver;
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to analyze mechanical and electro/mechanical system failures and to work with schematic drawings;
  • Excellent understanding of electronics and electrical circuit boards;
  • Experience with AUTOCAD Electrical for design of control panels per UL508a and the NEC;
  • Thorough knowledge of the NEC and UL508a standard.

Summary of Role:

This position is responsible for managing growing sales within the Chemical Vendor market. Ensure that all efforts are in line with FUBITA and Client/Company/Team. Participate in developing a sales strategy for ProMinent’s product line and executing in assigned territory.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Sell;
  • Meet sales goals;
  • Identify and develop quality relationships through training, motivation, and accountability;
  • Develop and manage new and existing customers;
  • Identify new opportunities for solutions
  • Provide sales call summaries, weekly summaries and maintain CRM;
  • Provide proposals;
  • Work with Engineering and customers to maximize revenues;
  • Participate in lead generation at national and regional trade shows;
  • Deliver product and application training to customers and prospects.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment by contributing to the success of the department;
  • Proven self-motivational skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Proven history of using creativity and judgment to plan and accomplish goals;

  • Maintain an active role in appropriate professional organizations to network and nurture relationships with the water treatment market;
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%;
  • Must have excellent presentation skills;
